The C2 Motorsports 9.0:1 head gasket arrived today, so it's time to reassemble the head and re-install it on the block.
We took some time to clean up a bit of wayward oil soak as well as removing some grime here and there. Of course the old gasket material was removed and the block surface prepared for the C2 gasket. We're using OE "stretch" head bolts vs. higher-strength items such as ARP due to the fact that they're less expensive, require no re-torquing after installation and have proven themselves over the years in the relatively low boost environment this engine will be seeing.
Perfect timing is as beautiful as it is rare, and our FedEx guy has just walked in the door with the Kinetic turbo kit we've been waiting for. As you might imagine, tomorrow is turbo time!
